About Our Family-Run Dental Practice in Barrie
Who are we?
We are a dental practice run by one family, built for yours. Dr. Mehdi Jadidi and Dr. Parastou Jadidi have looked after Barrie patients for more than twenty years. Their son, Dr. Nick Jadidi, grew up around this work and practises here as a dentist himself.
Family-run means something concrete here. The dentists who treat you are the same people who make every decision about how this practice runs — how long appointments are, how questions get answered, how a nervous patient is looked after. When you call, you are calling us.
Who are the dentists?
Dr. Mehdi Jadidi
Dr. Mehdi Jadidi has practised dentistry in Barrie for over twenty years.
Dr. Parastou Jadidi
Dr. Parastou Jadidi has also cared for Barrie patients for more than twenty years.
Dr. Nick Jadidi
Dr. Nick Jadidi grew up around this practice and now cares for patients here himself, the second generation of the family to do so. He graduated from Trinity College Dublin with First Class Honours in every division of dentistry, and he writes the patient guides in our Adult Patient Information and Child Patient Information libraries. Dr. Nick’s aim is to meet every patient’s dental needs, and to explain things clearly enough that you don’t leave with unanswered questions.
What do we believe good dental care looks like?
Good dental care is a long-term relationship, not a series of transactions. Every guide on this site is written by Dr. Nick with one purpose: information provided so our patients can comfortably understand their care and actively participate in the decision-making. That belief shapes everything about how we work:
- We explain before we treat. You will hear what is happening in your mouth in everyday words first — and you can read about almost any dental problem in plain language in our patient guides before or after your visit.
- No lectures, no judgment. Whatever state your teeth are in, you will be met with help, not a telling-off. People avoid the dentist because they fear that moment; we try hard to remove it.
- Prevention over repair. Dental work you never end up needing costs you nothing and hurts not at all — prevention is the whole point. We would rather help you avoid problems than profit from fixing them.
- The whole family, in one place. Children, parents and grandparents — care that follows you through every stage, from a first baby tooth to a denture that fits properly.
What can you expect as a patient?
Expect to be listened to first. Your first visit starts with what is bothering you and what you want — not with a checklist. From there, we examine, explain what we find in plain language, and lay out your options honestly, including what happens if you choose to wait.
If you are nervous about dental visits, tell us — you will be far from the only one that day, and we will take it slower and explain more. If something hurts right now, our Emergency Patient Information explains what to do first, and you can read more on our emergency dental care page. And if cost has kept you away, we welcome patients covered by the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) and will help you understand what it covers.
