Yes — we accept the Canadian Dental Care Plan, and we bill the plan directly. We’re a family-run dental office on Prince William Way in Barrie, and we’re taking new patients on the plan.

We bill the plan directly

You don’t pay the plan’s share up front, and you don’t file the paperwork. We send the claim to the plan for you.

Here is how a first visit usually goes:

1. You call us, or book online, and tell us you’re on the plan.
2. We check your coverage with the plan before any treatment starts.
3. We go through what the plan covers for you, and what it doesn’t, so nothing lands as a surprise.
4. We do the treatment, and we send the claim in for you.

Some treatments need the plan’s approval before they can start — crowns and most dentures, for example. We send that request in and tell you what the plan comes back with.

Who the plan is for

The federal government sets the rules for the plan, not our office. In general, it’s for people who:

• live in Canada and file a tax return here each year
• do not have dental insurance through work, a pension, or a private plan
• have a household income under the plan’s limit

You apply through the federal government, not through us. If you’re not sure whether you qualify, call us and we’ll go through it with you and point you to the right place to apply.

• Monday to Thursday: 10:00 am to 8:00 pm
• Friday and Saturday: 9:00 am to 3:00 pm
• Sunday: closed

We keep evening and Saturday appointments, and we’re glad to welcome new patients on the plan.
